Even if you only mildly maintain pace with all the rumors surrounding Liverpool and its prospective targets for the summer, you’ll see that the club is heavily engaged in entirely rebuilding the midfield.

There isn’t a single day that goes by when new rumors about a new interest or additional development in the case of an already pursued midfielder don’t make headlines.

Possibly, or should I say most surely, the club has grasped the need of having a creative and competitive midfield in order to sustain the level that they’ve established for themselves.

The foundation is being laid, and assuming everything goes well until the transfer window, a major revamp in the midfield is unavoidable. Whatever player you can think of—Jude Bellingham, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, Matheus Nunes, Ruben Neves—Liverpool has them on their list.

Keeping up with the story, another impressive name has emerged in relation to curating interest from the Merseyside club.

Liverpool is targeting young midfield sensation from RB Salzburg

According to Football Transfers, the Reds have identified Croatian phenom Luka Sucic as one of the key candidates to spearhead the next era’s midfield. The 20-year-old has made quite an impression in Austria and has made a name for himself with his game.

Sucic is a center midfielder for Salzburg, where he has done enough to entice numerous European clubs to sign him. He is mostly an offensive midfielder, although he can also play deeper and do some defensive tasks on occasion.

Most intriguingly, the lad is a highly intelligent player for his age. His vision calls for greater acclaim and more attention. Sucic can dribble and make terrific runs, and he doesn’t hesitate to make some elegant passes in tight spaces that are almost as accurate as an arrow.

Despite his profile being that of an explosive midfielder, you shouldn’t assume he’s too fancy and overdoes some things. He understands how to find a balance between displaying his abilities and being forthright; in any event, the team’s progress is his primary goal.

Some have even compared his play to that of Jordan Henderson, thus bringing Sucic to Anfield may be a fated passing of the torch as the Englishman approaches decline at Liverpool. The approximate cost to land Sucic is estimated to be somewhere between 15 and 20 million euros.
