It has been a busy few weeks for Liverpool Football Club as they deal with potential departures and searching out replacements. Fabinho is the subject of a 40 million GBP offer from Al-Ittihad, while Jordan Henderson has already agreed personal terms with Al-Ettifaq.

We take a look at where things stand across various players.

Fabinho (Liverpool) – According to the Daily Mail, both clubs have now become deadlocked over a possible fee for the Brazilian.  While this does not mean that the deal is off, it could very well just be logistics of how and when things get paid. Fabinho and the club will want the situation resolved as soon as possible either way.

Jordan Henderson (Liverpool) – It appears the Liverpool Captain will be leaving the club within the week. The sticking point was the fee to paid, and per the Football Insider, both clubs have reached an agreement in principle that will see the 33 year-old heading to Saudi Arabia.

It will be a blow in the Leadership department for a club that is seeing a lot of turnover in the past 12 months among its roster. Other veterans will be required to step up.

Joao Palhinha (Fulham) – West Ham are also said to be vying for the services of the dependable Portuguese midfielder. While he could prove to be a like-for-like replacement for a departing Fabinho, Fulham appear to be asking for the entire kitchen sink for him. I could see the Reds being quickly priced out of this move.

Andre Trindade (Fluminese) – While there is not a lot of knowledge of this youngster among most fans, he could prove to be an exciting possibility. At 22, he is a true double pivot midfielder that can sit right in front of defense. He has the size and mobility of a Khephren Thuram, but per reports out of Brazil would only cost 25 million GBP.

Romeo Lavia (Southampton) – Not much to report on this front as Lavia is a player still clearly admired by the club and many others. However, as of yet, no big team has deemed his 50 million price tag as worthy of consideration. The wait continues.

Florentino Luis (Benfica)- This is a returning interest from Liverpool who have scouted the Benfica star in previous transfer windows. He has been a stalwart for the Portuguese giants, but could prove an ideal replacement for Fabinho or even Hendo. This is still gaining steam so we will see where it goes.

Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina) – Amrabat burst onto the scene following a handful of impressive performances for Morocco at the 2022 World Cup. He was heavily linked to a move to England in January, but now his future seems to be away from Florence.

Manchester United look like the frontrunners for his services, but he would be a sneaky good addition to the Liverpool midfield.

Next. Liverpool transfer aggression should be applauded, but expected. dark

There are a whole host of players that are being talked about and rumors will persist at a club of Liverpool’s stature. Here at Rush the Kop we want to keep you informed of these reports, but also focus on realistic scenarios. Not many Mbappe and Messi combination deals to be found here.

Come back next week for another round up of where things stand on the transfer front. Will Fabinho and Hendo be holding new jerseys? Time will tell.
