Before you know it, players will be returning from international duty around the globe as club action will resume at the weekend. Liverpool, currently sitting on a maximum nine points, will look to keep things going when they meet Burnley on Sunday.
However, while things are looking good right now, especially with Alexander Isak finally secured, there is still work to be done for Arne Slot to keep his side moving in the right direction.
There are always threads to follow at a club like Liverpool, but I believe I have the four most important ones to keep your eyes on as we get back to club life once again. Let's get into it!
4. Finding a permanent home for Dominik Szoboszlai
The Hungarian has been one of the Reds' best players in the young season, with his outrageous free kick against Arsenal being the cherry on top at the moment.
He played as a makeshift right-back versus both Newcastle and the Gunners with Jeremie Frimpong out injured.

However, the Dutchman will be returning sooner than later and it will be interesting to see where Szoboszlai slides in for Slot on a weekly basis. Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister are seen as locks in the midfield as is Florian Wirtz.
Can you justify sending one of your early POTY candidates to the bench right after the heroics he has provided the club in recent weeks? Let's not forget his hyper-intelligent dummy that allowed for young Rio to smash home the winner at St. James Park as well.
It's a good problem to have when you have a plethora of top-class talent, but on current form, Szobo needs a permanent fixture somewhere in the lineup.
3. How fast can Alexander Isak integrate?
The superstar forward has not kicked a ball yet for Liverpool but the expectations for him are through the roof following his record breaking £125 million transfer from Newcastle.
He's currently with the Sweden national team getting valuable fitness back before returning to England.

He rightly will not be thrust into the Starting XI, especially with fellow new signing Hugo Ekitike in a rich vein of form to begin his Anfield career. Slot can take a long-game approach with Isak and his fitness as a result.
Yet, once he is fully fit and ready to go, how he fits into this already potent attack is going to be a heck of a story to watch. How soon he creates chemistry with Mohamed Salah and others will go a long way towards how the next few months could go.
Champions League fixtures are going to be coming thick and fast soon as well, and Isak must be ready.
2. The Reds begin their Champions League journey
Atletico Madrid will be the opening fixture for Liverpool to begin their 2025/26 UCL adventure as the Spanish giants will pose a unique threat.
Last season saw the Reds dominate this portion of the competition as they finished top of the league table only to be rewarded with a Round of 16 draw against eventual champions PSG.

Arne Slot will be hoping for an extended run this time around and it begins with a good start against Atlético, Galatasaray and Eintracht Frankfurt. Those are all winnable matches on paper and the new starpower at Anfield means they should be able to get the job done early on.
European nights at Anfield are a special thing and they will return once again and it will be fun to watch how all the new Liverpool players react to such an atmosphere when the time comes.
Liverpool should be one of the favorites, and the expectation each time around should be a deep run in Europe and that begins with securing good results now to set yourself up for success later.
1. The continued evolution of 'Slot Ball'
With so many new pieces in and several key players no longer with the club, the Dutch coach has so far done a great job overseeing a strong start to the campaign.
While things have not been perfect, having conceded two goals in 2 of their 3 league matches for example, overall you have to like what you have seen from the Reds.
With Isak now in, it's going to be fascinatiing how everyone gets deployed, how often and who with. There will be plenty of fixtures to take part in which will help with keeping all players happy, but Slot has a job on his hands to keep the good times rolling while seeing such turnover in his squad.

This goes back to points 4 and 3 of this very article in addition to several other players that have not hit their best form (Mac Allister and Salah) or those that have played well like Ekitike and Virgil van Dijk as Slot can go a lot of different ways.
Will he setup the side to be all out ferocious and attempt to blow teams away with their unmatched firepower? Or will we see a measured approach that does everything well but lacks the thrill?
Time will tell, and Liverpool have key tests coming swiftly that will require answers to all of these questions sooner than later.
