We have reached the second international break of the season and it probably comes at a good time for Liverpool who have suffered three consecutive defeats across all competitions.

That poor run of form has not stopped national team mangers from all over the world from calling up the many Reds' star players for international duty this time around.

It might be good for the club's players to go their separate ways for a few weeks to get a reset and enjoy their football once again before coming back to Anfield ready to lock in and kick on.

With that in mind, let's take a look at which Liverpool players got the call this time around from their national teams.

Netherlands - Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, Jeremie Frimpong

Hungary - Dominik Szoboszlai, Milos Kerkez

France - Ibrahima Konate, Hugo Ekitike

Scotland - Andy Robertson

Egypt - Mohamed Salah

Georgia - Giorgi Mamardashvili

Sweden - Alexander Isak

Germany - Florian Wirtz

Northern Ireland - Conor Bradley

Argentina - Alexis Mac Allister

The Dutch foursome will be hoping to find some good vibes and energy together as they will try and fire the Oranje to a few victories. Van Dijk will of course have the armband but Gakpo will be keen to keep up his scoring form.

Kerkez could really do with a change of scenery right now and pulling on his national team shirt could be just what he needs to get his head back on straight after a slow start to his Liverpool career.

Konate has what is considered to be a minor issue that the France setup will keep a close eye to make sure it's not serious. Ekitike will be ready to build on his first appearance for France last time around by perhaps getting his name on the score sheet.

Robertson is also battling an injury but could still feature for Scotland. Salah will do his best to lead the line once again for Egypt which he has done for so long now.

Wirtz and Mac Allister will be another pair of players that could use with a break from the daily grind of being at Liverpool as they are both huge pieces to their respective national team set ups.

Alexander Isak will be looking to spark his scoring touch for Sweden this time around and carry that momentum back to the club in a few weeks. Seeing him bag a few goals would be very ideal from this break.

Liverpool will have their eyes working all over the map to make sure their lads are performing and getting through unscathed. It should be a good palette cleanser for all.
