A depleted Liverpool, dealing with numerous key absentees at the moment, face a seriously tough test on Saturday. Andoni Iraola's team will take on high-flying Brentford in West London on Saturday.
Following victories at Ipswich and Bournemouth, the Reds are seeking three successive Premier League away wins for the first time since October 2024; they last achieved this without conceding in any of the matches in March 2022.
However, that will not be straight-forward. Keith Andrews' side are yet to taste defeat this season while, since his appointment, have lost only three of 22 Premier League home games. So, ahead of this clash, we look back at Liverpool's previous visits to the Gtech Community Stadium. These encounters always guarantee goals.
Brentford vs Liverpool all-time head-to-head record
- Matches Played: 25.
- Brentford Wins: 5. Draws: 5. Liverpool Wins: 15.
- Brentford Goals: 29. Liverpool Goals: 54.
Brentford vs Liverpool: Last five results at the Gtech
- 25 October 2025: Brentford 3-2 Liverpool - Miloš Kerkez and Mohamed Salah.
- 18 January 2025: Brentford 0-2 Liverpool - Darwin Núñez X2.
- 17 February 2024: Brentford 1-4 Liverpool - Darwin Núñez, Alexis Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo.
- 2 January 2023: Brentford 3-1 Liverpool - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
- 25 September 2021: Brentford 3-3 Liverpool - Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones.
Brentford still feel like Premier League newbies whereas, this is in fact their sixth successive season back in the top division. To date, Liverpool do not boast the best record when visiting West London, winning only two out of five, also losing two.
Both of their victories at the Gtech Community Stadium have featured goals from Darwin Núñez. The Uruguayan scored an absolutely audacious chip to commence a 4-1 victory back in February 2024.
That is a QUALITY finish 😮💨

The following season, Núñez was on target not once but twice in stoppage time to snatch a crucial victory in that season's title race. With Arsenal relinquishing a two goal advantage against Aston Villa straight after, many Kopites note that this was the day they knew Arne Slot's team were going to become champions, even though it was only mid-January.
That is, unquestionably, Liverpool's highlight at the Gtech to date, and there have been plenty of low moments too. Jürgen Klopp's team endured a miserable start to 2023, putting in a chaotic display during a 3-1 defeat, kick-starting a run in which they collected just one point from four games.
Meantime, almost exactly a year ago to the day, Slot's side suffered a fourth successive league defeat, again shipping three at the Gtech. Mohamed Salah scored a quite sublime volley right at the end, but it came too late to spark a full-scale comeback.

Well, there are parallels to this weekend's trip to the capital. Last season's came three days after a thumping 5-1 Champions League victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, after which many asserted that the team had turned a corner. This time, after annihilating LASK 6-3 at Oberösterreich Arena, the 1,725 reds in the corner of the East Stand will be desperate to avoid a sense of déjà vu.
