Ben Doak has completed his medical to join Bournemouth from Liverpool, and the deal will be signed today, confirms Fabrizio Romano.

Before the weekend hit, Liverpool got off to winning ways in the Premier League. The Reds hosted Bournemouth and went two goals up. From there, Bournemouth returned with two goals of their own, and it wasn't smooth sailing for Liverpool.

However, Liverpool responded with another two goals, one from an entirely unlikely source, and the next from the world's most predictable source. That's right, Federico Chiesa scored Liverpool's third, which was then rubber-stamped by the ever-brilliant Mohamed Salah.

So, a successful opening night for Liverpool. However, Bournemouth is not out of the story yet, as they're giving Liverpool another reason to fret.

Ben Doak signs for Bournemouth from Liverpool

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Ben Doak has now completed his medical to join Bournemouth from Liverpool. It is a £25m deal, and Liverpool has included a buy-back clause in the sale, to ensure they have full control over the player's future.

In his own words, Romano said: "Ben Doak has completed his medical at Bournemouth after a deal was done on Friday for £25m fee to Liverpool. Doak will sign his long-term deal later today. Liverpool will have a buy-back clause to keep future control of the player."

So, Doak is now as good as a Bournemouth player. The silver lining for Liverpool is that they can't possibly regret the deal, since they can sign him back easier than any other club.

Ben Doak's sale came at the right time, as far as Liverpool fans are concerned. Sure, he's a high ceiling player with the world at his feet, but let's face it, he won't be given nearly enough game time this season.

Liverpool's new signings have hit the ground running, and there's a feeling that Liverpool's spending in the attack is not yet complete. So, players like Doak would only fall further down the pecking order in this reality.
