As per Fabrizio Romano, Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez has said yes to Liverpool. Now, the Reds need to advance in talks with the Cherries.

Arne Slot is at the wheel but even after winning the Premier League title in his debut season, he's only in first gear. Now that he'll have a transfer window to work with, he's ready to take Liverpool to new heights.

Indeed, Liverpool is already hard at work with their transfer targets for this summer. After losing Trent Alexander-Arnold, there is an extra spotlight on how Arne Slot can rebound from setbacks. Let's hope he does so in fine fettle.

Fabrizio Romano reveals 'absolutely on' Liverpool deal that fans can’t ignore

According to the latest from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool fans are in for a treat. Not only are the Reds actively working on signing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, Milos Kerkez has already said yes to signing for Liverpool.

Liverpool is believed to be in regular contact with Bournemouth to push the deal over the line but as far as player negotiations are concerned, Kirkez wants Liverpool, having already given his own green light.

Since Liverpool are looking for Trent replacements, this might bamboozle Liverpool fans. After all, Kirkez plays on the left-hand side of the defence. However, he also has the versatility to play in a deep-lying midfielder role, showing he might have the skills to replace Trent out on the right too.

Either way, Arne Slot will have a plan here. The Dutchman has had a whole season to get to grips with his squad, and even after winning the league, will have a plan in place to fix those underlying issues.

And yes, there are issues. Liverpool are Premier League champions, but they didn't win the league in perfect fashion. As a high-achieving club who are proud but never satisfied, Liverpool will work hard in pre-season to raise the floor of the squad.

Kerkez would come in and immediately bolster Liverpool's options in the final third. Sure, he's a full-back by trade, but his attacking presence is what raises eyebrows the most. He is quick on the ball, and has the ability to whip in a mean cross. Liverpool fans know more than most how important creative full-backs are in the Premier League.
