Liverpool have won both pre-season matches in the U.S. this week so far, looking to leave with an unblemished record. On Wednesday in New York City, the Reds battled to a 1-0 victory over Wrexham. Rio Ngumoha was the late match-winner at Yankee Stadium, bursting into the box before his shot took a big deflection and found its way into the net.
Four days earlier, in Andoni Iraola's first game in charge, the Reds enjoyed a 4-2 victory over Sunderland. Youngsters Kieran Morrison and Lewis Koumas were on target in Tennessee, Federico Chiesa also scored, while Dominik Szoboszlai's long-range rocket was the pick of the bunch.
After this match in Illinois, Liverpool will be heading home, with Monaco and then Como visiting Anfield for friendlies, before the Premier League campaign begins for real at St James' Park in just three week's time. Leeds United meantime have faced the same two opponents this week, yielding mixed results. On Thursday night, Lukas Nmecha's early goal, a low, long-range strike that caught Melker Ellborg off his line, was enough to secure victory over Sunderland at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey.

Andoni Iraola confirmed on Thursday that World Cup trio Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch, who have been with the squad for a week now, are all in line to see some minutes in Illinois. Meantime Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo are not involved, being put through their paces at AXA Training Centre, while Alexis Mac Allister and Víctor Muñoz are on holiday.
Meantime, there is likely to be a first appearances in Liverpool red for Jérémy Jacquet. Having not played since February, when he suffered a serious shoulder injury, Iraola has been ultra-cautious with the Frenchman, but did suggest earlier in the week that he'll see some action in this one.

Former Liverpool man Harry Wilson is among their most exciting high-profile new signings thus far. Another is centre-back Tarik Muharemović, who started against Sunderland in mid-week, after which Daniel Farke labelled him "a promising young man" for whom "the sky is the limit".
James Justin, Anton Stach, Wilfried Gnonto, Ethan Ampadu, Joël Piroe and Dan James are among those who, after coming off the bench on Thursday, could be in line to start this time.
