We are now half way through this enormous international break, and 15 Liverpool players have so far been in action for various national teams all over the world. This number will increase to 16 when Alexis Mac Allister's Argentina take on Bolivia in Córdoba on Wednesday night.
Over in Europe, all teams have now played two UEFA Nations League fixtures, with two more to come over the coming day. Thus, we look at Liverpool's three biggest winners and losers of this international break so far.
Loser: Alexander Isak
20 minutes into Sweden's international window, Alexander Isak looked like being on the winners' side of this listicle. He broke the deadlock as the Blågult beat Romania 2-1 in Solna, continuing his excellent scoring form.
However, a couple of days later, Graham Potter confirmed Isak had withdrawn from the Sweden squad due to a "small problem with his thigh". He will play no further part in this break and is a doubt for Liverpool's next fixture too.
Loser: Cody Gakpo
Cody Gakpo has endured a remarkably similar international window, and not in a good way. He scored a last gasp equaliser, connecting with Ruben van Bommel's cross, to salvage a draw against Jürgen Klopp's Germany at the Johan Cruijff Arena on matchday one.
However, three days later, following a wild challenge by Saša Lukić of Serbia, Gakpo was forced off injured as the Netherlands were 2-1 winners at Stadion Rajko Mitić. It has been reported that the 27 year old has suffered a twisted ankle, so could be sidelined for up to a month, a major blow, with Manchester City, Brentford, Brighton and Arsenal the Reds' next four league opponents.
Winners: Rio Ngumoha
Turning our attention to more good news stories, Rio Ngumoha made his competitive England debut on Tuesday night. The teenager's sole previous cap came in a friendly against New Zealand in June.
Replacing Bukayo Saka, Ngumoha came on for the final 20 minutes as the Three Lions beat ten-man Czechia in Prague on Tuesday night. Clearly, Thomas Tuchel is a massive fan of the 18 year old, so expect him to see more action in the coming day.
Winners: Jérémy Jacquet
On a similar notes, Monday will always be a momentous night for Jérémy Jacquet. That's because, the centre-back made his senior debut for France, playing the full 90 minutes as les Bleus beat Belgium 1-0 at Stade Roi Baudouin, making it two wins out of two in the UEFA Nations League.
New head coach Zinédine Zidane has clearly been impressed by Jacquet's performances on Merseyside so, with neither Ibrahima Konaté nor William Saliba in the squad, expect the 21 year old to add to his cap collection at the Stade de France on either Friday or Monday, or perhaps both.
Losers: Florian Wirtz
As has been widely documented, Klopp called up two different squad for Germany's four games. However, after Kai Havertz picked up an injury in Amsterdam, Florian Wirtz was drafted into camp a little earlier than planned. Well, if Liverpool fans were hoping their former boss could light the fire inside the 23 year old, that is yet to happen.
Wirtz came off the bench for the final 25 minutes of Germany's surprise 1-0 defeat against Greece in Augsburg, and looked no better than he has in a red shirt thus far. Wirtz could well start against Serbia in Munich on Thursday, but there's little to suggest the Bayer Leverkusen Wirtz still lies dormant inside him.
Winners: Giorgi Mamardashvili
To end on a positive note, we're sure there can't be too many Liverpool players who look forward to the international break quite as much as Giorgi Mamardashvili. Behind Alisson in the pecking order, he has made just one club appearances so far this season, this in the EFL Cup against Tottenham.
Nevertheless, he remains Georgia's undisputed number one, starting both of their matches so far, keeping a clean sheet against Ukraine at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena on Monday. Mamardashvili will continue to don the gloves as the Crusaders head to Budapest and Belfast, and these minutes could be invaluable, for when he is next called upon once he returns to Merseyside.
