How long has this international break been going on for again? Can we all even remember a time before this international break? Will the Premier League ever return? All valid, existential questions we will not be able to answer in the course of this article.
Instead, we will assess tonight's UEFA Nations League action, specifically the trio of matches that are of interest to Liverpool fans. Five members of Andoni Iraola's squad were in action across Europe, so find out how they performed.
A momentous night for Virgil van Dijk
While many of us are bored of this international break, Sunday will always be an historic night for Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk. The 35 year old earned his 100th cap for the Netherlands as they beat Serbia 2-1 at Philips Stadion in Eindhoven. It actually looked as though the centre-back had broken the deadlock, but, on closer inspection, he had not got a touch on Teun Koopmeiners' free-kick that went straight into Vanja Milinković-Savić's net.
The defender has started all four of Holland's matches during this international window, with 82 of his 100 caps coming from starts, including each of the last 33. Having become only the 11th Dutchman to reach a century of senior international caps, Iraola is probably relieved van Dijk is returning to Merseyside a week before Liverpool are in action.
In the same game, Ryan Gravenberch started for the third time out of four matches in this window, replaced by Gjivai Zechiël on the hour mark. Meantime, Jeremie Frimpong hasn't been nearly as busy, not seeing a single minute across Xavi's first four games at Holland head coach.
A proud moment for Florian Wirtz

Also in UEFA Nations League Group A2, Florian Wirtz captained Germany for the first time as die Nationalelf drew 0-0 with the group's surprise package Greece in Thessaloniki. The 23 year old was deployed as part of a front two by Jürgen Klopp, alongside target man Jonathan Burkardt, playing the full 90 minutes at Toumba Stadium.
This came three nights after Wirtz scored a spectacular sole strike against Serbia at the Allianz Arena in Munich, this securing Klopp's only win across four matches as Germany boss to date. Amazingly, since 31 January, Wirtz has scored five goals, of which four have come for his country, and only one for Liverpool, so those inside Anfield will be desperate for better when club football resumes.
In the same match, Kostas Tsimikas completed 90 minutes for Greece, despite being booked mid-way through the first half. He has played every minute of every game for his country during this window, hoping to have caught Iraola's eye, currently battling Miloš Kerkez to be the Reds' first-choice left-back.
Lewis Koumas continues to be key for Wales

Lastly, while he is very much trying to establish himself as a key part of Iraola's plans, Lewis Koumas is certainly an important player for Wales boss Craig Bellamy. The 21 year old started three of the Dragons' four fixtures during this break, including Sunday night's narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Denmark in Cardiff, replaced by Mark Harris just before the hour mark.
Interestingly, despite being a winger, Koumas' minutes at international level this week have come as a centre-forward, suggesting he could be a much-needed Alexander Isak deputy for his club.
