Liverpool emphatically booked a return to Wembley and the League Cup Final with a 4-0 demolition job of a clearly overwhelmed and out-of-sorts Tottenham side.

It was the perfect response to a shaky first leg of this semifinal as goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Virgil van Dijk rounded out a brilliant evening at Anfield.

With the Cup Final berth secured, let's take a look at how Liverpool's players rated in the convincing victory on Thursday.

Caoimhin Kelleher - 6/10 - Had almost no work to do whatsoever in this one so it's hard to give him a proper rating. However, a clean sheet is a clean sheet.

Conor Bradley - 8/10 - He did not miss a beat filling in for Trent Alexander-Arnold. Bombed forward with purpose and gusto all night. Bagged an assist for the 3rd and had several smart defensive stops throughout.

Ibrahima Konate - 7.5/10 - Part of the central defense that effectively shutdown any hopes of a Tottenham fightback. Strong physical presence was a lot to handle at times for the visitors.

Virgil van Dijk - 9.5/10 - A near flawless display from the Dutchman as he bagged a goal, completely erased any attacking threat from Spurs, and physically imposed his will throughout at all areas on the pitch.

Andy Robertson - 7.5/10 - Another fine display as the Scotland captain has been stacking up good outings in recent weeks. Was his usual marauding self down the left flank and had no issues defensively either.

Ryan Gravenberch - 8/10 - A wonderful all-around display from Ryan as he intercepted passes and broke up play with ease but also got involved at the other end as well, including hitting the post with a fine long-range strike.

Curtis Jones - 7/10 - A solid and professional display as he was not required to go above and beyond his required duties in this one. A comfortable night at the office.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 8.5/10 - One of his most complete performances of the season as he was all over the pitch with elite pressing and chance creation. Super composed finish got him his goal.

Mohamed Salah - 9/10 - A goal and an assist as he continues to steamroll through anyone that dares stand in front of him. Was a menace all evening as he played like one of the best in the world.

Cody Gakpo - 8/10 - Got the opener for Liverpool with his good positioning and instincts. He was a danger all night long as he was cutting in at will and had man y options to choose from.

Darwin Nunez - 7.5/10 - Won the penalty that Salah converted through sheer pace and desire to get there first. Led the line well and contributed defensively. A goal would have been the cherry on a great outing.

Alexis Mac Allister - 7.5/10 - Did a lot of good work in his limited minutes getting a pass-to-assist on the Szobo goal and a full assist of his own on the VVD goal. Wonderful player.

Harvey Elliott - Almost no meaningful impact.
