It was almost an outstanding evening on Wednesday as Liverpool were mere seconds away from securing a final and perhaps important, victory at Goodison Park before James Tarkowski of all people lashed home a pure volley to share the spoils.

Goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah were thought to be enough to secure the points, until they weren't.

It was a physical and intense match strewn with cards all over that ended in mayhem. Lt's see how Liverpool rated in the frustrating draw.

Alisson Becker - 6.6/10 - Could have maybe stopped the goal from Beto but the second was a perfect strike from an unexpected source.

Conor Bradley - 5/10 - Not his best evening of work as he was caught up in the emotions of the match more than he should have. Some reckless challenges and lack of awareness hurt him on the night.

Ibrahima Konate - 6.5/10 - It wasn't his best night by any means, but he was fine enough dealing with some of the giants on the Everton side.

Virgil van Dijk - 6/10 - Like Ibou, not his best night of work, but not his worst either. Spent a lot of his time trying to keep his teammates calm under the stress of the match and atmosphere.

Andy Robertson - 6/10 - It was clearly a middling night of work from the Liverpool defense. Robbo could not truly get involved the way he likes and was pushed back several times.

Alexis Mac Allister - 7.5/10 - His glancing header for the first goal was pure determination as he outjumped several bigger players. He was locked in from the beginning in this one and moved things often as he could.

Ryan Gravenberch - 5.5/10 - He was not able to impact the game like we have become accustomed to this season as he was often bypassed out wide or over the top. An average performance in an elite season.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 7/10 - He thrived in the chaos for most of the night and was driving forward as often as he could. Long range effort almost led to a Diaz rebound goal. Popped up a lot to help out everywhere.

Mohamed Salah - 8.5/10 - Yet another goal and assist for the world's best player right now. His cross for the Macca goal was wonderful and showed his predatory instincts to get his rebound goal.

Luis Diaz - 6/10 - He was not efficient or very threatening when deployed through the middle but somewhat grew into things back out wide. Overall though, not a huge impact on this one.

Cody Gakpo - 6/10 - Here is another forward that was largely invisible for long stretches of this match. He was not able to get out and running and there was little room to operate in the box.

SUBS:

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 6.5/10 - Returning from injury he did not want to push things too much but sprayed some good passes and tried to be progressive in his thinking.

Curtis Jones - 6/10 - Tried his best to inject some extra juice into the match when he came on. Added fire when he got in a scuffle after the final whistle.

Kostas Tsimikas - 5/10 - Much like the man he replaced, was kept mostly in check while on the pitch.

Darwin Nunez - 6.5/10 - Provided a little more stability through middle in the attack but not a huge outing from our No. 9.

Diogo Jota - N/A - Minutes at the end.
