Liverpool Football Club have already seen several key contributors to their Premier League winning campaign last season depart this summer, and could be on the verge of seeing another move on if Harvey Elliott finds a new home this transfer window.
The England U21 star is seen as a very bright talent across all of Europe and still only 22, has a huge ceiling just waiting for him to tap into.
Whether that will happen at Anfield or somewhere else still remains to be seen. He is desperate to get regular starting minutes which is almost impossible at this time at Liverpool.
Let's catch up on the transfer buzz around Elliott.
The Latest
The biggest suitors for Elliott's signature this summer are German club RB Leipzig who see our No. 19 as a strong replacement for the expected-to-depart Xavi Simons.
While it's been reported he has agreed personal terms with the German outfit, there is still no firm agreement between the clubs as Liverpool are not overly eager to move on from Elliott.
Per Ben Jacobs, they are willing to move on from him at a good price, but their preference is to keep him around.
""At the right price, Liverpool will reluctantly sanction a sale due to understanding Elliott's desire to start every week. Yet Elliott staying would be welcomed by Liverpool as he remains a valued squad player.""Ben Jacobs via X
While that might not be exactly what the player would want to hear, it's also a sign that the Reds know just how prodigious his potential as a footballer really is. The club would want a fee close to £50 million to consider moving on, and that number has not been reached as of this writing.
A late entrant into this conversation could be Tottenham who just saw Arsenal steal Eberechi Eze from them at the 11th hour.
Spurs are in desperate need of young attacking talent and Elliott would be a perfect addition as he is Prem proven and has so much room to grow. Liverpool would likely be more apt to sell him abroad if it came to that.
No Clear Path Forward at Anfield
While he is a truly gifted player at his age, the wealth of talent currently at Anfield means he will never be the focal point barring catastrophic changes at the club.
Nobody can ever question his commitment to the club as he has always proudly represented the badge, but for himself, he might need to leave to truly take his game to the next level.

The arrival of Florian Wirtz has only pushed him further down the pecking order and if Alexander Isak or even another attacker comes in, who knows where he might fall. Federico Chiesa burst back to relevance last week and now looks set to stay at Liverpool.
Chiesa and Elliott will now be direct rivals for the important minutes as one of the first names off the bench going forward.
Another reason the club might not be eager to sanction a move is it would leave them very vulnerable in terms of depth. Elliott can play several different roles on the pitch and this versatility is what makes him so special to the club.
