Liverpool Women announce the signing of Natalia Ramos

It continues to be the busy summer transfer window for Liverpool Women, unveiling their latest new recruit on Thursday. The Reds have announced the signing of Natalia Ramos from CD Tenerife Femenino, a move that has been viewed as something of a coup.

Presenter Irati Vidal labelled Ramos "one of the best in Liga F last season", while Carlos Viña Glez notes that she has been "a key piece" for los Guerreras for a decade. Aside from the 2017/18 season at Levante, the 27 year old had spent her entire career at her hometown club in Tenerife, playing alongside her twin sister Noelia.

She made over 200 appearances for the club, helping them to a very respectable fourth place finish in Liga F last time round, the joint-best finish of the club's modern history. The most-recent campaign was arguably her best ever, scoring ten goals and racking up five assists.

She also registered six big chances created, 1.9 key passes per mach and 2.8 tackles won per 90, underlining that she is an all-round dominant midfield player. Only five players score more Liga F goals in 2025/26 than the 27 year old, including Barcelona duo Clàudia Pina and Ewa Pajor, as well as former Liverpool star Caroline Weir.

After making the move to Merseyside, Ramos expressed her delight at becoming a Liverpool player.

"I’m really, really happy. I’m very excited to achieve this new step in my life and I’m very grateful for this new opportunity in my life. For me it was a very easy decision and I’m very, very happy, with a lot of feelings and emotions because I know who the club is... I feel very happy and privileged to take this shirt and sign at the club."

The new number six certainly appears to be something of a statement signing for Gareth Taylor. Liverpool finished second-bottom of the Women's Super League last season, but appear poised to be substantially better this time round, with Ramos their sixth new recruit so far.

Fans will get to see Ramos in competitive action for the first time when the Reds commence their WSL campaign against Charlton Athletic at the Valley on Sunday 6 September. Taylor's team have three behind-closed-doors friendlies before then, first on show to the public against Durham in St Helens on Sunday 30 August, with Ramos hoping to feature.
