Liverpool will be looking to add multiple players in the summer as the club returns to the Champions League, and depth will be significant for incoming manager Arne Slot. Each season, the EFL Championship allows young talent to move upwards to the Premier League. So, here are 3 EFL Championship players Liverpool should consider signing.

3 EFL Championship players Liverpool should consider signing

1. Crysencio Summerville - Leeds United

Summerville may be a Premier League player in just over a week as Leeds United are headed to the Championship playoff final and will face Southampton. However, for the time being, he is not. Liverpool have already been linked to Crysencio Summerville, so this is a bit of an easy link to make.

The Reds are expected to sign a wide player this summer, and with Summerville being someone the club is monitoring, it may be time to investigate the Dutch forward more thoroughly.

Summerville was a fascinating player with Leeds United this season, being part of their elite forward group alongside Joel Piroe and Georginio Rutter. He has 21 goals in all competitions as of playing the second leg of Leeds' semifinal match against Norwich City. To round up the impressive goal tally, Summerville has recorded ten assists. The 22-year-old's efforts this season earned him a Championship Team of the Season nod.

Besides his raw goal contributions, Summerville can also progress the ball up the pitch at a level most at the Championship could only dream of doing. Per Football Reference, he was in the 94th percentile of progressive carries and 87th percentile in successful take-ons. Summerville also has EPL experience under his belt, being part of the Leeds squad that spent three seasons in the top flight before relegation last season.

While there are other wide options on the table from abroad that might be more appealing to Reds supporters, don't sleep on the potential of Crysencio Summerville being a breakout player next season in the Premier League.
