Ahead of a busy summer for Liverpool with new management to take care of transfers, links to players are slowly but surely starting to emerge.
Crysencio Summerville on the Reds' radar
On the "Here We Go" podcast, Fabrizio Romano states that Leeds United's Crysencio Summerville is on a list of players that Liverpool monitors ahead of the summer transfer window. Romano believes that Liverpool have had scouts present at multiple Leeds United games to watch Summerville.
Most Liverpool fans are familiar with Summerville. The Dutch winger scored a late winner at Anfield for Leeds in 2022, ending the Reds' 29-game unbeaten streak at home. In the EFL Championship, Summerville has taken his game to the next level and become an essential figure for Leeds United, which still has a chance of automatic promotion to the Premier League.
With 19 goals and nine assists this Championship season, Summerville earned himself a big honour by being included in the EFL's Championship Team of the Season. At just 22 years old, Summerville has the potential to reach even new heights, which has led to Liverpool keeping a close eye on the forward.
Lutsharel Geertruida linked to Liverpool after Arne Slot confirmation
Dutch outlet De Telegraaf is reporting that Lutsharel Geertruida is on Liverpool's radar this summer and could be made available for sale by Feyenoord for around £25.6m. The report further states that it is believed Geertruida is keen to take the next step in his career, and Anfield could be that destination.
There is an obvious connection between incoming manager Arne Slot and Geertruida, with both finding plenty of success at Feyenoord. Under Slot, Geertruida has played all across the backline, mainly at centre-half and right-back. The 23-year-old has also played in the midfield for Feyenoord in the past. On top of being a standout in the Eredivisie, Geertruida is now also a regular for the Netherlands national team.
