We've reached another Monday as Liverpool continues to push forward in their quest for a treble this season. There are some key news updates for you to catch up on and we are here to provide those.

The fallout from the disappointing draw at Manchester United is still lingering, however, there is European action for the Reds later this week and there could be some key players making a triumphant return.

In addition, Liverpool could be close to finalizing the terms for their new manager come the summer when Jurgen Klopp departs the club. Let's get into it.

Key names set to return from injury to give Reds a boost

Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold are both all set to return to training this week which is a huge boon for Klopp and his staff. Jota's clinical finishing could have been a useful asset on Sunday as he is one of the best pure goal scorers in Liverpool's recent history.

While the attack has largely been great, the frustration from Sunday will mean that the news of a Jota on the way back will be a great lift to all involved. It's more likely he returns against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Alexander-Arnold has also been out for some time and his return will bring yet another creative weapon to the side.

Conor Bradley has performed well in his stead, but Trent is a world class player and his return will be most welcome. Stefan Bajčetić is also returning to training with the first team as he inches back.

Ruben Amorim contract talks could be accelerated this week

According to multiple Portuguese reporters, Liverpool are in contact with Amorim and have tabled a three-year contract for the Sporting CP head man.

Amorim's Sporting side defeated their rivals Benfica over the weekend meaning they now have a four-point lead at the top of the table. This extra gap could allow a bit more breathing space and he might be more comfortable taking a conversation with the Reds now to discuss his future.

It is becoming clear that Michael Edwards and his staff are honing in on the young Portuguese manager as their primary target to replace Klopp.

Look for a possible big development on this front later this week to see where things stand.

Liverpool being linked to multiple players this summer

Crysencio Summerville, the 17-goal scorer for Leeds in the Championship is being credited with an interest from Liverpool and other English giants Arsenal and Chelsea. The 22-year old winger could be a nice depth piece.

Another name the Reds are being credited with an interest is 16-year old Estêvão Willian from
Palmeiras. The Brazilian youngster has already received comps to Lionel Messi. He's a name to watch for the future.

The biggest name to be thrown into the mix with Liverpool is Real Madrid's star winger, Rodrygo.

He turned down the chance to join Liverpool in 2017 as a youngster so he could be ready to change that now. However, £86 million will be the floor to get any talks truly underway. This one is hard to see happening unless Liverpool move off multiple stars in the summer.
