It wasn't a flawless performance on Saturday for Liverpool at the Molineux, but in the end a penalty from Mohamed Salah and a late first half goal from Ibrahima Konate saw the Reds fight to a 2-1 win over Wolves and go top of the table.

There were some iffy performances and a few standouts as usual in this win, but let's go through them all to see how all the Liverpool players rated in the Premier League win.

Alisson Becker - 7/10 - It wasn't the busiest day of the season for Alisson but he made his presence felt as ever. A miscommunication with Konate led to Wolves scoring their only goal.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 6.5/10 - It was not the cleanest outing from Trent as he lacked some early discipline but as the match wore on he became more involved. Put in several threatening balls as he always does.

Virgil van Dijk - 7/10 - It was a sturdy performance in the heart of the defense today for our Captain as he was calm and collected making clearances at will. Solid day.

Ibrahima Konate - 7/10 - He jumped to the moon once again just like he did against Milan to get Liverpool on the board. Probably at fault for the Wolves goal as he could have easily cleared it out. Made some fine tackles but also look wobbly at times. A topsy-turvy day indeed.

Andy Robertson - 7/10 - This was a vintage Robbo display with the only thing missing being an assist. His work-rate up and down the left flank is such a useful tool to the side and he looks to be in fine form once again this season.

Alexis Mac Allister - 7.5/10 - He is such a pivotal piece of the Arne Slot system that his impact is felt a little extra with outing like this. Moves the ball along efficiently and breaks up play so well.

Ryan Gravenberch - 7.5/10 - His great run continues as he was influential in this on both ends. He glides with the ball at his feet and when he pushes forward it unlocks a new dimension to the Reds attack. Reads the game defensively very well too.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 6/10 - Should have scored from two yards out, even giving credit to the Wolves keeper but Szobo could have put it anywhere and he is on the mark. Largely invisible for long stretches after that.

Mohamed Salah - 6.5/10 - Scored the penalty that woudl give us the win as he smashed it home condidetnlty. Outside of that, did not look as sharp as he has to this point this season. Get him a nice rest.

Diogo Jota - 6/10 - Following his two-goal exploits in the week against West Ham, this was a much les impactful performance. Did not have many clear chances but did win the penalty for Salah to score.

Luis Diaz - 6.5/10 - Rested midweek, I expected a bit more from him. Reverted back to some of his indecision in the final third that we saw last year. Always a danger on the ball, but lacked bite today.

SUBS:

Cody Gakpo - 6/10 - Didn't have a lot of opportunities in his quarter hour or so, but made some nice tight turns under pressure.

Curtis Jones - 6.5/10 - Made the most of his limited minutes in this one and looks to be getting back to his high levels.

Joe Gomez - N/A - Brief cameo coming on for Robbo.
