Liverpool are surging in the Premier League with just a single loss so far to date. That form has carried across all competitions as well, with the Reds winning their opening Champions League fixture against AC Milan and recently beating West Ham in the EFL Cup.

Up next for Arne Slot's side is a date with last-place Wolves, as Liverpool will look to make it seven wins in eight matches in the league.

Liverpool Team News

The biggest injury news for Liverpool coming into this match is that Alisson could be ready to start on Saturday. Arne Slot stated in the pre-match press conference that trained on Thursday and was expected to train fully on Friday.

Caoimhin Kelleher, who got the nod against Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend and the start versus West Ham midweek could still be the preferred choice for Slot if Alisson is not 100% ready to go.

Harvey Elliott remains out until mid-October and of course will not feature in the clash against Wolves.

Wolves Team News

While Liverpool could see a fully healthy squad, Wolves have multiple senior players who are out long-term. Sasa Kalajdzic, Yerson Mosquera and Boubacar Traore are all out with month-to-month injuries with Mosquera likely done for the season with a serious knee injury.

Centre-back Toti Gomes is questionable for the fixture with the defender dealing with a leg problem that has kept him out since August.

Wolves sit rock bottom so it may not be out of question for Gary O'Neil to really try and shake things up for his side and as they need to pick up points soon rather than later.

Liverpool vs Wolves Score Prediction

While it may be an exaggeration to call this match David versus Goliath, there is a large gap in form between the two clubs. There is no reason to believe that Liverpool cannot leave Wolverhampton with all three points against a Wolves side that has yet to win in the league.

The only caveat is that Wolves will need to start picking up points soon, or they may dig themselves a hole too big to climb out of to stay in the Premier League. Official prediction: 3-1 for Liverpool.
