We have reached midweek which means we are once again here to discuss some of the biggest transfer headlines floating around Liverpool Football Club.

If some of these reports are accurate and come to fruition, this might be one heck of a summer ahead for Arne Slot and the club as there are some class players being targeted and linked.

Let's get this going.

Liverpool reportedly begin talks for Joshua Kimmich

The 29-year old Kimmich has been a standout performer once again this summer at Euro 2024 as Germany have booked a Quarterfinal spot, in large part thanks to his play.

According to CaughtOffside via FourFourTwo, it is said that Liverpool have made the first steps towards getting a deal for the superstar defensive midfielder going. While his age profile is not the normal target for the Reds, his ability still has him rated as one of the very best at what he does.

You get the feeling that his game is going to age very well and he would not have many issues adapting to the English game as he plays a physical brand of football himself.

Bayern Munich have not given Kimmich any long-term assurances which lends credence to the idea of him moving on this summer for one more final big club.

This looks like it could have some real legs to it, but I would still approach with caution for our own sanity.

Liverpool Women sign teenage starlet for record fee

Olivia Smith secured a £210,000 move to Liverpool from Sporting CP to begin Liverpool Women's transfer business.

The 19-year old attacking midifelder is coming off a strong season in which she recorded 22 goal contributions in only 18 matches for her club. She brings a dynamic ability on the ball and will be a strong option now and for the future for coach Matt Beard.

She will be sporting the No. 11 shirt for Liverpool which is a sign that she is surely going to be taking a big role almost from day one.

The fact that the club shattered their spending record is a sign of the talent and potential that Smith has. She will be fun to watch in Red.

Reds are the frontrunner for Rayan Ait-Nouri

The Wolves left-back is one of the best in the Premier League and if rumors are to be accepted, Liverpool could be bringing him into the fold very soon.

Journalist David Lynch says there is truth to this as the Reds have a good working relationship with the player's agency and the links have been strong for awhile now.

Wolves are said to be looking for around £34 million with the Ait-Nouri also stated to have a release clause of £38.2 milion in his contract. With Andy Robertson now 30 and no clear option behind him, this would be a perfect move to begin the slow transition into the new era at left-back in a few years.

The proven Premier League pedigree of Ait-Nouri is just an added bonus for any club that does sign him and at this comfortable costs, it should be Liverpool.

Follow this one closely.
