Liverpool-linked Adrien Rabiot could make his way to the Premier League.
Liverpool is not guaranteed to sign a central midfielder this summer, although the club have been linked to multiple options that can operate in the centre of the park. Among those is Atalanta's Ederson, who enjoyed a strong campaign in Europa League action and in Serie A. However, in recent weeks, Liverpool has been linked multiple times to a free agent, Adrien Rabiot, who only just officially said his goodbyes to Juventus this week despite his contract ending on July 1st.

Despite the links and what could have been a shrewd move for Liverpool, the club are not expected to be in the race to sign Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer. Rabiot reportedly "dreams" of a move to England but Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Liverpool are not in talks to sign him.
Furthermore, Mail Sport's Lewis Steele states that Liverpool in fact have no interest in the signing the player and never have, putting an end to the idea that the Frenchman could have been heading to Anfield this summer.
That does not mean Rabiot will not feature at Anfield this season, though. He is looking to join a Premier League team on a free transfer before exploring options outside of England. For the longest time, Rabiot was seen as a player perhaps playing above his level, being at the likes of PSG and Juventus, but the Frenchman has quietly been a solid contributor for both Juve and France these past few years.
If Liverpool is going to add another midfielder, it should probably be someone who is ready now and can be a long-term option for Arne Slot. Atalanta's Ederson (25) likely fits that bill, while perhaps Rabiot, at 29 years old, would've only been a stop-gap option for the Reds.
