With three wins in three matches, seven goals scored, and zero conceded, it has been a dream start to the Arne Slot era at Liverpool. Despite the level of opponent getting better on paper each match, Liverpool's win over Manchester United was their most dominant performance to date.

1. Luis Diaz

The Colombian winger looks to have returned to the form we saw when he first joined Liverpool in the winter of 2022. Luis Diaz has looked amazing, to say the least, under Arne Slot so far. He has started every match to begin the season, scoring three goals in three matches and has added an assist along the way.

While no one would ever complain about Diaz not putting in enough effort, he did, at times, lack the clinical finishing needed with the chances he got over the last two seasons.

So far, under Arne Slot, Diaz is finding himself in the right spots in the final third and being extremely wise with his finishing. Diaz has been perfectly utilizing his speed to find himself in favourable positions that defenders have just been unable to handle so far.

The left-wing spot surely looks like it will be his for the season, as Cody Gakpo will have to fight for minutes in other competitions, and perhaps Federico Chiesa will be used as a right-wing option. If these three opening matches are anything to show for what is to come for Diaz, the 27-year-old is about to have an incredible season.
