Diaz just edges the list ahead of Diogo Jota thanks to his Man of the Match performance at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Just like Salah, Diaz is showing some amazing numbers in terms of goals and assists. This has gone a long way to help Liverpool be in this unbeaten position and joint top of the league.
The performances put in by Diaz are not those of a player who wanted out. There were lingering rumours that Diaz could be on his way to Barcelona. Diaz has continued his performances from last season but also added value through his output of goals and assists.
This can only add momentum and confidence to Diaz’s game. With the threat of Nunez, Gakpo and now Chiesa, Diaz needs to maintain this form to remain in the team.
This is testament to the quality of depth that Liverpool have when it comes to the front 3 positions.
