The Scotsman has yet to make a league start for the inconsistent Latics in League One, he has often come on as a substitute for James Carragher, son of Jamie.
Ramsay’s only start for the Latics came in a penalty shootout defeat to Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.
A year Ramsay’s junior, left-back Luke Chambers is also on loan from Liverpool.
