Wednesday will see Liverpool resume their pursuit of a coveted Premier League title. They play host to their crosstown rivals Everton, in the the latest edition of the Merseyside Derby.
The last time these two sides met was in a delayed fixture that was supposed to happen in December, but took place in early 2025.
The Toffees found a late equalizer through a stunning Tarkowski strike that stole a point for Everton.
Arne Slot will be looking for a response from his team in this one following an international break that allowed his players to get away from the heartache of a Champions League exit on penalties and a crushing Carabao Cup final defeat.
It'll be interesting to see if there is any lineup changes to take note of going forward. Let's see what Liverpool's Starting XI could look like for this one.
Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker
Defenders: Jarell Quansah, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson
Midfield: Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai
Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo
POSSIBLE SUBS: Harvey Elliott, Luis Diaz, Wataru Endo, Curtis Jones, Conor Bradley or Federico Chiesa
Alisson was back in training on Monday following a concussion scare while away for Brazil. He should be ready to go for Wednesday and to take his place back in the lineup.
Defensively, Bradley was also back training Monday, but it still might be too soon to have him start. I see some minutes off the bench to ease him back, which means Quansah gets the nod from the start.
Konate and Virgil are the de facto central pairing as usual with the ever-present Robertson roaming down the left flank for this one.
Mac Allister looks to recapture the superb form he was showing a month ago and he should get the nod. Gravenberch, who also trained Monday, is coming off an extended two-week break so he should be recharged and in top form.

Salah limped into the international break in modest form, so he should come back eager to regain his scoring touch once again. Jota and Diaz have been ineffective recently, so they don't start.
Darwin just brings a physical aspect that other Liverpool forwards do not. Gakpo returning to the fold is a huge boost as well and he should start this one.
While not full strength, this Starting XI should be enough for the Reds to find a way past Everton to secure all three points. If not, we have deeper issues than we could have ever guessed.
