While we are coasting through a much needed break in the calendar for international football, there will still be a Liverpool side in action at the weekend.
On Saturday, we'll see a Liverpool Legends squad in action once again as they square off with a Dortmund Icons side in the latest charity match at Anfield.
While the German side have not provided a confirmed squad just yet, we do not have to wait to see what beloved Reds will be returning to the pitch for this one.
With that in mind, I'm going to highlight some of the biggest or potentially favorite legends to follow during the action on Saturday. Here are the biggest Reds confirmed for the latest charity match at Anfield.
Steven Gerrard
As the headline suggests, we can start nowhere else but here. Our Captain and club legend is making a playing return to the ground where he produced so many magical moments.
Gerrard has been no stranger to these kinds of exhibition events, and even now, he can still pick out a pass with the very best of them. He will have the armband for this one and he will be leading a very gifted squad full of more recent players than we might have seen in years past.
With the seismic news that Mohamed Salah will be departing Liverpool at the end of this season, Gerrard made it a point he knows what the club should do to replace him.
""You have to buy someone who is box office, or you are not replacing him," Gerrard explained during the broadcast. "They have to be top-end, top three [or] four wingers in the world to replace Salah because that’s what Mo has been.""Steven Gerrard via TNT Sports
So, while our famous No. 8 has a match he is preparing for, he's still able to make some sound and logical suggestions for the future of the club as well. What a hit son. What. A. Hit.
Thiago Alcantara
We will see the graceful Spaniard make his triumphant return after he exited Liverpool the same season as Jurgen Klopp and Joel Matip.
Having only recently retired from football, the 34-year old should very well be one of the best players on the pitch when the action gets started. His technical gifts were never in doubt, it was purely fitness issues that mired his time at Anfield.
Had he been fit more often, I do think there'd be an argument he would still be a rotational piece today for Arne Sot with his supreme gifts on the ball being a huge asset to any side.
Thiago owns one of the prettiest Champions League goals in history, and would anyone put it past him to produce something wonderful in this match? I sure wouldn't.
It will be good to see him in action on the pitch again, as he is one of my biggest "What ifs" in recent memory for the club.
Dirk Kuyt
The Dutchman was one of my favorite players during his playing days. His unmatched work ethic, versatility and willingness to put the team before himself always endeared him to fans everywhere.
He is the current manager of Dutch club FC Dordrech, so he could welcome the chance to get off the touchline and back in the action once again.

He scored 71 goals from 285 appearances while playing in a variety of positions for the Reds, oftentimes doing the dirty work so that players like Fernando Torres and Gerrard could have the spotlight.
However, he had a knack for scoring goals at important moments, particularly in the Champions League, so he for sure has a case for being one of the best pressure performers for Liverpool in recent memory.
If you were to propose a Liverpool legend to score multiples times in this match, Kuyt would be the man. His ability to be in the right place at the right time was always his greatest gift in the box.
