Mo Salah’s Continued Form

Mo Salah has glimmered this year knowing that he is a key and integral part of the Liverpool well-oiled machine.

His form has not dipped, as in the last 5 years he has continually been one of Liverpool’s best players. Throughout his time at Liverpool, he has contributed with goals and assists, and been a league leader in both statistics.

During this current Premier League campaign, Salah has added 17 goals and 13 assists, in the many wins of Liverpool’s season.

What remains to be seen is how Liverpool and Salah fare for the rest of the season. Based on current form, Salah looks to be well within the race for the golden boot. He has won it 3 times before, and is well in position to win it again.

There has been much talk of how he takes up positions in between the centre-backs and fullbacks, and runs through the channel, before cutting onto his left foot and then shooting or passing for goal contributions.

He has played with his head up a lot more the past year and looks to continue this form.

Liverpool’s Form

Liverpool have been in excellent form, having nearly won all of their games in the Premier League. The team has won 15 games this year, drawn 3 matches, as well as losing 1. With this kind of form, the team looks poised to win the league this year.

It seems like the team has handled the pressure of being league leaders well this year and maintain a 6 point lead over the remaining teams in the table.

They also maintain a goal difference of 28, with 45 goals for and 17 goals against, the best in the league.

Previous seasons have been difficult, much before the Klopp and Slot era’s, but Liverpool looks to have recovered well. They will have a lot of opportunities to stay at the top of the table and continue from there.

Goalkeeper Situation

Liverpool boasts one of the best goalies in the world with the Brazilian Alisson Becker as their number one option.

Another goalie that has seen some game time is Caoimhín Kelleher, who has impressed with his ability to make saves and move around the box efficiently.

There has been some talk of Kelleher leaving for more game time, but Slot has managed this situation well, to allow for Kelleher to see the field.

Alisson’s injury woes have allowed for Kelleher to play more, but Allison in past years has still been considered one of the best in the world as well as the league.

Slot is in a fortunate position, having two good goalies, and will continue to monitor their progress as the team continues to do well.
