When a club is going through a rough stretch of form, it quickly becomes all-hands on deck to see if there is anyone that could find a way to stop the floodgates.

Unfortunately for Liverpool manager Arne Slot, he has seen his squad be hit with both the injury bug as well as a severe lack of form and confidence. It's a brutal mix that has led to six defeats in seven matches in the Premier League.

Perhaps fortuitously, Wednesday night brings a showdown in the Champions League with Dutch side PSV.

As we get closer to kickoff of this important fixture, Slot may need to call upon some fresh faces to turn the tide in this one. These under-the-radar Liverpool players could play a part against PSV.

Wataru Endo

One of the biggest issues for the Reds during this awful stretch has been the alarming rate at which they have been conceding goals against all levels of competition.

The Japan captain could be an option to play either right-back or at the base of midfield in an effort to plug the many gaps we have seen rip Liverpool apart.

He is a no-nonsense player that understands his role and embraces the dirty, hardworking aspects of the game that some players shy away from. This grittiness and steel from a seasoned pro could be a big boost to the psyche of the squad.

His positional versatility in defense and deep midfield means he can shift and cover as needed on the fly without sacrificing too much from either department.

This kind of professionalism would be a welcome addition to the Reds' lineup.

Federico Chiesa

This man might only be underrated to Arne Slot and nobody else. But alas, the Italian is still an under-the-radar option to make an impact on Wednesday.

In his now season and a half at Anfield, Chiesa has found consistent opportunities to leave his mark very limited. As a result of injury or being overlooked by management, he has been tasked with making the most of his limited chances.

To his credit, he has usually found a way to impact matches after coming on or in the very rare occasions where he does start.

Scoring our only goal in the League Cup final defeat to Newcastle, multiple assists in the cup win over Southampton, the winning goal on opening day this season, and more are all examples his quality has never left him.

Everything has been tough for Liverpool recently, and Chiesa is one of the few players who has seemingly not had his confidence crushed as of yet.

Confident and talented, he could be essential to beating PSV.

Curtis Jones

It has been an up-and-down season for Jones to this point. He's had some strong outings that show flashes of what we know he can offer, and yet, his recent outings have left a bit to be desired.

However, he could be ready to have a strong impact over the next few weeks if Slot allows him to get a proper run of appearances. His ability to drive the side forward with progressive carries or passes is actually an underrated aspect of his game.

It would not be surprising to see him start on Wednesday and make a positive impact as he is one Red that you can never question their effort.

There have been long stretches in recent seasons where Jones has proven to be one of the better midfielders at the club. If he can tap into that part of himself again, Slot will gain a very valuable asset whether off the bench or starting on occasion.

Names like Gravenberch, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai are ahead of him in the pecking order, but that means he is an ideal addition to this list and you should keep your eye on him against PSV.
