Will record ten-times winners Liverpool be one of the sides contesting March's EFL Cup Final at Wembley? Well, Andoni Iraola's side began their Carabao Cup campaign by pretty easily swatting aside Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Alexis Mac Allister and Spurs summer transfer target Cody Gakpo were both on target, before an absolute rocket from Dominik Szoboszlai in front of the Kop secured the win. So now, attention turns to the round four draw, but when does this take place, and who could Liverpool face?
When will the Carabao Cup fourth round draw take place?
The Carabao Cup fourth round draw takes place on Wednesday 16 September, which is tonight at around 10:30pm (BST). Following the conclusion of Manchester United's tie against Brighton & Hove Albion, the draw will be live on Sky Sports. Former Liverpool captain Jamie Redknapp and Ashley Young will be pulling the balls out of the bowl, hosted by Pien Meulensteen.
There are not permutations or complications; it is an open draw in which anyone could face anyone.
Who is through to the Carabao Cup fourth round?
So far, we know 11 of the 16 sides who will be competing for a quarter-final spot. As well as Liverpool, three other Premier League sides were victorious on Tuesday, namely Arsenal, Brentford and Fulham, as well as third-tier Peterborough United.
They join the six teams who won matches a week ago, ties spread out to avoid scheduling conflicts with UEFA competitions. Chelsea, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are also through, as are Bradford City, another EFL League One representative.
Five more ties take place on Wednesday and Thursday, which will complete the round four lineup.

When do Carabao Cup fourth round ties take place?
The Carabao Cup fourth round fixtures are scheduled for 27, 28 and 29 October. The Reds host Brighton & Hove Albion the proceeding Sunday, ruling out the possibility of a Tuesday tie, before Arsenal visit Anfield on Sunday 1 November.
Considering the hectic schedule, also taking on Villarreal and Fenerbahçe in the Champions League around this period, Iraola will surely be hoping for as kind a home game as possible.
