17 members of Andoni Iraola's squad are set to be in action for senior national teams all over the world across the next fortnight. Fans and Iraola alike will simply be hoping they all return to AXA Training Centre fit and available for the huge clash with Manchester City after the break.
Well, two of the Reds likely to accumulate the most minutes for their countries are Hungarian duo Dominik Szoboszlai and Miloš Kerkez. Marco Rossi's side failed to qualify for the World Cup, but are aiming to reach a fourth successive European Championship. Meantime, the Magyars are back in UEFA Nations League B, following relegation, but are favourites to top their section.

In the UK, the game against Northern Ireland will be live free-to-air on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. Hungary's other three fixtures do not have a UK broadcaster.

Dominik Szoboszlai has been his nations' captain for almost four years, given the armband at the age of just 22, and is very much their talisman. The midfielder bagged his 18th international goal during Hungary's most-recent outing, a 3-1 friendly victory over Kazakhstan in Debrecen in June.
Unlike at club level, the whole team is constructed around Szoboszlai, deployed as the number ten, with the primary aim simply to get the best out of him. He has featured in each of Hungary's last 47 fixtures, completing 90 minutes in 33 of the last 36, a trend that will continue.
How important is Milos Kerkez for Hungary?
While not as integral, Miloš Kerkez is also one of Rossi's first names on the team sheet. The left-back started all eight of the Magyars' competitive fixtures in 2025, as well as three of the subsequent four friendlies. Thus, like Szoboszlai, Kerkez might just play, pretty much, every minute of every game.
