Centre Mid - Ryan Gravenberch

A monstrous season for Ryan Gravenberch and one that even his biggest admirers surely didn't see coming.

A tricky last season saw many unsure he'll even be in the squad this time around but Arne Slot saw faith in the deeper role and it has worked to devastating effect.

The Dutchman faces stiff competition in a competitive position but very few have had the impact he has and from virtually nowhere.

Likelihood - 8/10 / Contenders - Rice, Guimaraes, Tielemans / Our winner - Ryan Gravenberch

Centre mid - Alexis Mac Allister

For me, the stand out midfielder of the season. Mac Allister has been absolutely unplayable throughout, with some vital and special goals.

The former Brighton man has had an incredible few years and can now add a Premier League title with his World Cup with Argentina.

Whilst competition is fierce in midfield this season, it's impossible to look past Liverpool's number 10.

Likelihood - 10/10 / Contenders - Caicedo, Cook, Tonali / Our winner - Alexis Mac Allister

Attacking mid - Dominik Szoboszlai

A fine season for Dominik Szoboszlai who continues to grow into his role at Liverpool as his time goes on.

The midfielder has double figures for goal contributions, including big goals and asissts against the likes of Man City and Arsenal.

The Hungarian plays slightly deeper than other contenders in this space and looks likely to miss out to those with better numbers this season.

Likelihood - 4/10 / Contenders - Rogers, Gibbs-White, Palmer / Our winner - Cole Palmer (Chelsea)
