Arguably Liverpool’s most consistently productive player, Adam Lallana is now attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Adam Lallana has been a revalation for Liverpool this season. Having moved in the summer of 2014 for around £25 million, Lallana has thrived under Jurgen Klopp.

Whether deployed on the wing or in the center of the pitch, Lallana has produced at a ridiculous level.

8 goals and 8 assists in 18 games is an incredible record for the 28-year-old.

Jurgen Klopp has been increasingly full of praise for Adam Lallana. The Englishman embodies everything about a Klopp-managed team.

With skill, pace, and a focused directness to his play, Lallana has excelled admirably under Klopp’s tactics.

Now the Times reports that some of Europe’s giants are monitoring Lallana’s situation.

Barcelona, Juventus, and especially PSG are reportedly interested in bringing Adam Lallana to the continent.

The Times report claims Lallana has two years left on his contract and with negotiations set to take place over the next couple months, that European triumvirate will pounce on any setbacks.

Contract talks with Coutinho should be well underway as well and Barcelona’s interest in Lallana is apparently linked with the future of the little Brazilian.

More from Liverpool FC News

"“Barcelona have also noted Lallana’s form and will target him if they fail to sign his team-mate Philippe Coutinho.“The Brazilian has three years left on his contract and with no buy-out clause, Liverpool will demand a huge fee, so Lallana would be a cheaper alternative for the Spanish club.”"

PSG’s interest is also qualified by Alexis Sánchez’s contract situation at Arsenal. If the Parisian giants fail to sway Arsenal’s forward, PSG will be very tempted by a move for Lallana.

Lallana can’t go

Adam Lallana has become absolutely crucial for Liverpool. Jamie Carragher said last month that he was England’s best player on current form.

"“Gareth Southgate is here today and at the moment Lallana is England’s best player.“On current form in the Premier League, the best player is Adam Lallana.“He gets goals and he gets assists – it’s a massive turnaround in the last 12 months from him.”"

It’s hard to argue with that assessment from Carragher, there aren’t many English players above Lallana’s current level.

And that’s why it is absolutely critical to lock down Lallana to a long term contract and make sure he goes nowhere.

At 28, Lallana is in his prime and it’s imperative for Liverpool to hold on to players like this.

For his own part Lallana, has talked down any moves and said he wants to stay at Liverpool long term, highlighting the importance of his relationship with Klopp.

"“I love it here at the minute, especially since the manager has come in“We have each other’s trust and you don’t always get that at clubs. The thought of leaving Liverpool has never entered my mind.“It’s a great compliment to be spoken of in the same breath as a club like PSG with those sorts of numbers. But I’m absolutely loving my football at the minute under this boss and I can only see myself being here for the long term.”"

That seems pretty concrete from Adam Lallana. Liverpool fans will hope he’ll be around for years.
