Suffering our first defeat at home and suffering our first ever Anfield defeat against a rejuvenated Swansea. Liverpool show many signs of struggles without key player, Sadio Mane.

Liverpool can count their blessing after this weekend past, as both Manchester teams choked with draws over the weekend, to warrant Liverpool a stay in the top four slot for now.

Yes Liverpool are where they need to be, regarding progress, game play and a consistency of good results, with exception to the deformity going on at the moment.

Since the turn of the new year Liverpool have struggled, in fact, LFC have failed on all occasions to take maximum points from any of their league meetings.

With a couple of problems going on behind the scenes, like injuries to a few key players and Joel Matip’s situation, you could argue the fact, Liverpool couldn’t have done much better, but I believe they could have done way better.

With Sadio Mane’s departure to the AFCON inevitable, I think Klopp should have taken into account, Mane’s involvement in a handful of goals since the campaign started.

There was and now is no doubt the team is missing a key figure and are suffering big time. Feel there were many ways we could have prepped better for the time without Mane.

Liverpool needed and still need, a massive moral boost after failing to come to terms with the absents of the African player.

Klopp has a strong opinion on the progress and development of players within the club, rather than to go out and spend unnecessary money on new players.

The problem with this is we might not have the equivalent of Mane on the bench and have to rely on young players, or a makeshift in position in the team to do a job.

These type of problems could turn out to be detrimental to the league aspirations and as well as Liverpool’s hopes to regain some silverware from either of their cup runs.

Klopp has some time before the window closes. I know business at this stage, we would sign on players at an exuberant amount, paying possibly double what their value actually is, but a moral boost is needed for a team with such a hectic run, in the first month of 2017.

Safe to say, this will most likely not happen and Klopp will try to regain Liverpool’s winning rhythm without having any new additions to the team, basically ignoring the fact, the team are at their lowest point since the turn of the new season.
