Positive news ahead of a galactic encounter when Liverpool take on Arsenal at Anfield Saturday. Lovren gets cleared to train with the rest of the team and with all being well, might make the starting eleven.
At the moment, any defender will do in my opinion. Liverpool’s defense with or without Lovren is a dilemma.
Klopp having many issues with the back-line this season. News like the recent injury to Lovren which prohibited him from participating in the Leicester City loss, was just one of the more recent problems faced by Klopp.
Conceding as many as 33 goals for the season, I don’t know weather or not to take this as positive news or as negative news.
Monday’s performance was a collective effort of spineless cowards. (sorry to say). If we had to single out a player for lacking almost everything on Monday past, it would have to be Lucas.
Lucas was paired up with Matip as the center-back pair. The two did little to keep the Foxes’s attack at bay. If you surrendered three goals, change must happen.
Lovren and Matip has been the most convincing partnership Klopp has tried this season. When I say convincing, I don’t mean by a country mile though. The best of the worst up for selection I suppose.

A season of hard work rest on the result of this weekend’s battle with the Gunners. A match between two rival clubs and teams taking shots for a top four finish.
Liverpool’s defense needs to be sound and ready. Each part of the Red’s game needs to be on point. We can’t afford to let any complacency settle in.
Having won the reverse fixture in emphatic style, we need to follow it up and in the same manner. Show no mercy as we fight tooth and nail in last part of the season.
Liverpool needs to replicate a 2013/2014 5-1 hammering over Wenger’s men. The scoreline doesn’t have to be the same. Just the way in which we beat them, needs to be flawless as it was that day.
