Liverpool’s Transfer Committee should be Knocking on Sanchez’s Door!
The football world lit up after Liverpool beat Arsenal in their final meeting of the season. The shock was not the result, but the fact star player, Alexis Sanchez, was left on the bench for the first half of the match.
Sad this has become the highlight of such an important match, but it’s these type of decisions, which make or break your season.
Arsène Wenger was sent to the cleaners by the club’s supporters, after a key figure was missing from the starting lineup. Different stories coming from one headline. On the one side, Wenger spoke out in his post-match interview, about this dilemma he was faced with.
The Arsenal manager stated it was a tactical change, when opting for Giroud and Welbeck over Sanchez.
"“The thinking was that we had to go more direct and I wanted to play two players who are strong in the air, because we decided to go more direct.“After that, to bring on Alexis in the second half. Of course, I believe in the second half it was easier for the strikers and you could see a different performance from Giroud and Welbeck because we dominated much more of the midfield.”"
This basically displays a plan backfiring on a manager and a team who were unable to change the outcome of the result.
A couple of days on and the reasons for Wenger’s bizarre team selection takes a twist. BBC reported the player was dropped after a training incident (this before the encounter), which goes against what the Gunners manager used as an excuse.
This leaves the impression, the player and the camp might not be all that good at the moment. This would be the perfect time to act and move in for the world-class player.

Liverpool’s duty now:
Liverpool’s duty now, is to go in and acquire the unsettled player from the Emirates. This player ticks all the right boxes for Klopp.
In actual fact, the two are in need of each other. Liverpool needs another out-and-out winger, who is world-class and capable of emulating Sadio Mane’s first season at the club.
Whereas Sanchez, needs a new challenge in his career. The Gunners have had the same miserable showings as Liverpool and are in the same position regarding silverware and title ambitions.
Difference is, Liverpool look as if they are on their way up and looking the team who wants the Champions League spot over the rest.

Liverpool would probably pay a decent penny for the player. Which should not be a problem after making a profit in last year’s transfer window. Making no signings in the January transfer window adds to the funds available.

Really hope I am not the only one to share these views and the manager Klopp, depicts the same picture and doesn’t hesitate on getting a quality player such as Sanchez into the Anfield outfit.
