Liverpool 2 for 3 in March – Next up Man City top-four-battle
Liverpool are in a good way, midway, and on the way, towards what could be a marvelous March! Man City, the final hurdle in the quest for 100% win rate.
After a high-flying start to the month, where Liverpool beat rivals, Arsenal 3-1. Liverpool was under immense pressure to follow this up, with an even tougher home fixture against Burnley.
Liverpool did not replicate the red-hot form displayed in the victory over top-four contenders, Arsenal. But did, however, answer their critics, by collecting all three points in a game Klopp labeled an “ugly” victory.
After back-to-back victories, Liverpool has now collected six points from the possible nine available before the international break, which follows this weekend’s fixtures.
Now the final test, another top-four contender, Man City. Already one up after a hard fought win, just before the turn of the year, at Anfield.
Liverpool travels to the blue side of Manchester, in match setup to be one of the best for the weekend.

The importance of this meeting:
A victory for Liverpool will see them overtake the Citizens in blue, and will apply even more pressure to an already under-pressure, Man City. Following their European exit this week.
This infused with the fact, Man City have dropped points in their most recent Premier League encounter against Stoke City. Liverpool has the upper hand in this clash.
Make no mistake, even though Man United and Spurs are the only two clubs to take points from the Reds, and being referred to as being, the ‘top-table-killers”. Man City’s clash should not be taken lightly.

They will be looking to bounce back and bounce back hard! It would be foolish to go in this clash, believing they will hand the three points over to Klopp and his men.
Their exit from European football, changes the dynamics of the game, as Man City will be looking to secure next season’s spot as well.

Week in week out, the fixtures become more and more important. Each meeting has to be treated as a final. Important to go into the international break on a massive high.
Hopefully, Liverpool away win is on the cards. My prediction for this top-four-battle is a Liverpool win 0-2, over Man City.
