Liverpool’s Anxious April Continues with Almost No Change in the Top Spots
The race continues to the very end. Klopp and Liverpool stay in the fight with a great result away to Stoke City over the weekend.
Liverpool couldn’t do much about an error or two, in Wednesday’s draw against Bournemouth. But, how they handled Stoke City over the weekend, makes midweek seem like a small hiccup.

Overcoming these two setbacks is another way the team emphasises the drive, determination, and dedication they have to get this top-four finish! The lads were put to the test, to achieve these troublesome feet. The test of squad depth and a test to come back from behind. Both jobs did outstandingly well to the asking.
Liverpool stole all the points on Saturday past. The different types of improvement that were on display over the weekend, is something to be extremely proud about!
Liverpool’s defensive line was there when needed. Excepting Klavan now, can’t let him rest for some of the errors this week.
It was the heroic efforts of Simon Mignolet! He stood out above the awesomeness of the Brazilian powerhouses. The outfield players knew the importance of Mignolet’s saves in the game, by acknowledging him with a round of applause in the team’s dressing room after the match concluded.
Liverpool has little trouble scoring with their free-flowing football. It is the continued problem of defensive weaknesses, that make it hard to get all the points, each game. Managing to only keep seven clean sheets, is a stat on its own showing how bad it’s been at the back for Klopp.
