Liverpool’s transfer news worrying fans – Same targets different day and no additions!
Liverpool’s transfer business has been at a low compared to last season’s early signings. No secret to who we would like to add. It’s just a question of when and if Liverpool can pull it off.
Liverpool has been linked with some decent, if not, classy players just before the window opens. The question is, are they the real targets, or are they the cover-page fronts?
Liverpool was a defender heavy and a new keeper was but a signature away, last year this time. After obtaining that elusive Champions League qualification this season. It’s safe to say, many thought we would be well on our way with our transfer business.
Far too long fans have watched their top targets walk in the other direction, after being heavily linked with whoever it was in the past. With the best of the Premier League taking this season’s past Champions League spots. Concluding our first choice targets could be harder than before.
With both Manchester teams, Chelsea, and Spurs making the CPL list. Liverpool’s chances are smaller than the rest but, we have CPL and we have Klopp. Keeping the faith is the only positive thing we can do at the moment.
Worrying about transfers before the window opens, only became a problem due to Man City’s early completion of transfers. It delivers an unsure feeling we have become accustomed to. Another issue supporting this uneasiness is Liverpool’s procrastination to complete our first choice signings.

Liverpool’s links to date:
Recently and way back, all the way to previous transfer windows. Liverpool has been linked with Southampton’s star defender, Virgil van Dijk and he continues to be a strong link to Liverpool.
I, myself, try to remain positive about this player and the possibility of him still joining Klopp’s squad. When being linked this heavily, we have in the past got the man. But! When LFC’s committee tries to play hardball, we lose out on a talent like this.
Included in the Echo’s write-up, is Steven Gerrard wanna be, Oxlade-Chamberlain. Who recently stated after the Gunner’s FA Cup success. He has always wanted to be like Steven Gerrard.
The Echo believes, Klopp’s favourite to sign both the Englishman and the Dutchman. Hopefully, they’re onto something.
Another player strongly linked with the Reds is, Naby Keita. Where £50 million is the price we are to cough up for such a player. Recent words from Klopp adds a lot of doubt to this transfer, but links to Anfield continue to surface.
What adds to this transfer link, is recent news of RB Leipzig, who are close to signing Laimer from Salzburg. Which could be a replacement for LFC linked, Keita.

At this stage, things appear to be positive for us Red’s supporters. With time, we will see how serious the club and Klopp are about silverware.
