Liverpool star Daniel Agger signed with the club 12 years ago and fans can’t cope with his message on Twitter.

The Danish defender joined from Bröndby IF for a small fee of £7.88 million in 2006 and gave nine years of blood sweat tears to the shirt.

During the course of his Anfield career he only played 175 league games, but was a classy center-back who often looked like he was destined for much greater things.

Injuries seriously hampered his time at Liverpool and missed a huge amount of time for various ailments – the worst was the 35 games he missed due to a metatarsal fracture in 2007.
