Left Back: Andrew Robertson

Despite traveling with the Liverpool squad to South Wales on Monday, Alberto Moreno was not fit enough to be included in the match day squad. News today suggests he is still feeling pain in his ankle that he hurt against Spartak Moscow last month. That means it will probably be another week or two before we see him take the field.

That leaves Andy Robertson as the only specialized left back available to Jurgen Klopp. The manager did use Joe Gomez at left back against Burnley to give Robertson a rest. However with plenty of rest between recent matches the Scotsman is a virtual lock to start against West Brom.

He has settled into this side easily in the second half of the season. His man-of-the-match displays against Everton and Manchester City showed just how important he can be to this Liverpool squad this year.

The only thing missing from his Liverpool resumé is a goal. West Brom are liable to play deep and invite Liverpool forward. Robertson will likely have plenty of opportunity to roam forward and join the attack. I am going to stick my neck out and say this game is the one where Robertson nabs his first goal for the club.
