Absolutely flying! A true red! Liverpool fans are going nuts over this bargain basement signing
Liverpool fans are going nuts over the performances of one of their bargain basement signings against West Ham.
Scottish left-back Andrew Robertson only cost the club £8 million from Hull City and he’s beginning to establish himself as a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Alberto Moreno had occupied his position until an injury meant Robertson was thrown into the starting XI – and the former Tiger has never looked back since.
He’s won plaudits for his hardworking displays, which was epitomized by the video of him pressing Manchester City all the way into their own box during Liverpool’s famous 4-3 win against the champions elect.
The 23-year-old has now made 15 Premier League appearances and has collected two assists, with the majority of those coming since December.
Robertson assisted Sadio Mane’s goal as the Reds ran out as comfortable 4-1 winners against the Hammers, and the Liverpool Echo awarded the full-back a 7/10 match rating, as did the Express.

Wantaway midfielder Emre Can opened the scoring for the Anfield side, before Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah made it two and three.
Michael Antonio pulled one back for David Moyes’s outfit, who never really looked like claiming all three points.
But Robertson’s performance is definitely one of the standout moments from the game as it highlights a strengthening of a traditionally weak area.
