Ajax assist king Hakim Ziyech wants a transfer move to Liverpool, according to his agent.

Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur have reported that the playmaker’s agent Rene van der Gijp rubbished news linking Ziyech with AS Roma and claimed that he hoped the Reds would make a move for the Morocco international.

MSN said that Everton had been linked with the 25-year-old, but van der Gijp quickly put those rumours to bed by claiming that it would be a ‘crazy’ move.

Ziyech is undoubtedly one of the best creative players in the Eredivisie and he’s been in sparkling form for Ajax this season. In eight league games, the Dronton born star has four goals and four assists.

His overall record for the Amsterdam outfit is impressive as well. In 97 games, Ziyech has scored 25 times and created 42 other goals. When you add those two figures together, it means the Moroccan scores or assists at a rate of well over one every two matches.

The playmaker has been linked with a move to Liverpool for some time, and the rumours swirling around just don’t seem to want to go away. Roma appear to have a good working relationship with Ajax and recently signed Justin Kluivert from the side, but it appears as if Ziyech has his sights set on bigger things.

With the Red’s midfield looking a little bit short on ideas over recent weeks, the attacker could theoretically find a space to fill. But realistically, Jurgen Klopp would have to sell in order to make room in the squad for the 25-year-old.

Adam Lallana would probably be the one with his head on the chopping block, as fitness issues have hampered Lallana over the past 18 months.
