Liverpool vs Wolves: Jordan Henderson could raise massive milestone
Jordan Henderson could raise a massive milestone if he’s picked to play for Liverpool against Wolves in the Premier League on Friday night.
The 28-year-old has been at Anfield since joining from Sunderland in July 2011, and now the Reds captain is on the verge of a massive milestone.
Henderson hasn’t always had it easy and the skipper still divides opinion among fans, but he’s one appearance away from 300 for the club and that’s huge.
It’s been six years since that move from the north-east to Merseyside, and the midfielder would have got there sooner had it not been for a serious of persistent, small, niggles that follow Henderson around like a bad smell.

The captain has missed 59 games for Liverpool through injury, with the longest lay-off coming in 2015 when Henderson fractured his metatarsal.
He’s the only player from both teams from the last meeting against Wolves, all the way back in 2012. Both clubs have changed a lot as Jurgen Klopp has revolutionised things at Anfield, while Nuno Espirito Santo has overseen the Black Country Portuguese influx.
Despite making 14 Premier League appearances this season, Henderson has been in and out of the side. Only seven of those are starts, while his last domestic 90 minutes came against Burnley on the 5th of December.
Prior to that he’d been sent off against Watford for two yellow cards, which was his first start since the 1-1 draw with Chelsea back in September.
And this is down to the competition for places that Gini Wijnaldum spoke about before Friday night’s game. With Fabinho coming into his own, Wijnaldum playing well and Naby Keita settling in to Merseyside life there just isn’t place for Hendo.
Despite this, the Sunderland lad remains an important player for Liverpool and if he hits 300 against Wolves it’ll be a well deserved milestone.
