Season three

HHmmm, alrighty then. Not really sure what to make of this season as Liverpool had a shocker and finished sixth. Jurgen Klopp’s job is on the line after that, but some strange transfer choices and poor form will do that to a manager.

There were some massive deals as the German brought in Julian Brandt for a fee that could rise to £71 million, Kietan Tierney for £15.75 million, Jack Butland for £12.25 million and Bordeaux regen Jeremy Gaudin for £2.2 million.

Brandt turned into a ripping deal to be fair, while Salah ended the season with 22 Premier League goals.

Felix played a lot more, to be sure, but seemed to lack that consistency that marks good players from great ones. With 23 Premier League appearances, he scored four times and assisted only two others.

Half of those were from the substitutes bench, and as he approaches his 22nd birthday you’d expect Felix to become one of the more important players in the side.
