No.10 – Divock Origi
If this list were impact alone then Divock Origi would walk it. His late game goals over the last few seasons have won crucial Premier League games and clutched two of the biggest games in European competition.
His career arc at Anfield has been a strange but ultimately happy progression. He was signed by Brendan Rodgers but barely featured for the Northern Irishman before Jurgen Klopp was installed as the new boss.
He made an impact in his first 18 months at the club, flashing plenty of potential before injuries and a lack of opportunity led to a disappointing loan spell at Wolfsburg. Despite the club shopping him around, no transfer suitor was found. And that is perhaps the luckiest thing to ever happen to the club.
Last season was a procession of late crucial goals that began with the 96th minute Merseyside Derby winner that kept Liverpool in the title hunt.
But that was just the start. His brace against Barcelona – including the winning fourth goal – made him the star of perhaps the best ever night at Anfield. Then he capped off his amazing season with the clinching second goal in the Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur.
A club legend. A cult hero. If only he knew how to celebrate!
