Liverpool have had a rollercoaster decade that has included some of the best players to ever play for LFC. Here are the top 10 best players of the 2010s.
What a difference a decade makes. Liverpool Football Club has been through it all in the last ten years. From the depths of the Roy Hodgson era under Hicks and Gillett to some of the best players in the world under Jurgen Klopp.
Some of the greatest footballers in Liverpool’s long history have featured for the club across this decade; both before Klopp and at the club now.

The previous decade also had some legends who featured under Rafa Benitez. The key players from the win in Istanbul like Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Xabi Alonso, Luis Garcia and Sami Hyypia.
Then there are those who featured in the Premier League title challenge of 2008/09 which then included Fernando Torres, Javier Mascherano and Pepe Reina.
Add to that cult legends Robbie Fowler and Gary McAllister and you have an excellent top 10 from the 2000’s.
But this top 10 is better. In fact it’s not even close. The list features nine players who have won the European Cup; eight while at Liverpool and one after he left.
The criteria we’ve used to pick these players has been according to their level of performance and impact in this decade.
For example – Steven Gerrard features on this list and is perhaps the best player to ever play at Anfield. But he is not number one on this list as his best years were in the previous decade and he has only one League Cup to his name in the 2010s.
