Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is dominating Twitter.

The right-back set up one goal and scored another as Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Chelsea 5-3 during their final home game of the season.

His assist was a prime example of why the youngster is so good as he whipped in an excellent cross for Roberto Firmino to head home.

While the goal was a superb remainder that Trent Alexander-Arnold is world-class at striking the ball from a set-piece situation.

As a result of his domination of the game, the 21-year-old is trending on Twitter. People are having to pinch themselves and remember that this man is still making his way in the game, despite the list of achievements to his name.

Alexander-Arnold holds the league record for numbers of assists by a defender with 12, having bettered his own previous best of 11. He’s a Premier League winner. A Champions League winner. A Super Cup winner. A Club World Cup winner.

He has 25 assists in the past two seasons, more than any other footballer in the league, and is on course to be remember as one of the greatest Liverpool players in the club’s history.

Trent may even be crowned the greatest.

So that’s why he’s trending on social media. People simply can’t believe the numbers he’s putting up already and from right-back.

It’s a position that’s never the most important on the field, but when Alexander-Arnold doesn’t play or doesn’t play well then Liverpool struggle to tick.

Alongside Roberto Firmino, he’s a player that really holds the rest of the side together. Both of them are unique in their own way and both can get this team to do things nobody else can.
