The transfer market for Liverpool FC has been highlighted more by staying rather than joining the club this month.

In the team’s latest news, centre-back Joe Gomez will not be leaving the Reds anytime soon either, just like his teammate Divock Origi. Gomez had been linked to both Real Madrid and Aston Villa. However, Jürgen Klopp and company seemingly want to retain their substantial depth at the position, which is a wise choice.
Joe Gomez has been used sparingly for Liverpool, but the defense may need him later.
It has been said that the 24-year-old defender has been out of favor in the LFC lineup for multiple reasons. First, it is tough to receive consistent playing time with talents like Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matiip, and Ibrahim Konate on the squad. As a result, the England native has only appeared in just eight of the team’s total matches across all competitions. Even when van Dijk was out due to a positive COVID-19 result last month, Konate and Matiip saw most of the action. Regardless, should something of happened to either of them, Gomez would have had the chance to showcase his talents.
Klopp has promised to remain patient with Gomez.
The young talent was also hampered by injury in 2021. As a result, Liverpool’s manager expressed how delicate and complex a process can be at times last month.

As Klopp alluded to last month, no players are leaving the club. However, with today’s news regarding Gomez, he has kept his word.
