Liverpool are going to plan a really good transfer window next summer. The team needs it. The coach needs it. The club needs it. I can feel it happening, but it needs to happen in a very smart manner. Signing players just for the sake of signing new players won’t help anyone, and we all know by now that the higher-ups at the club do not work that way.

They usually look at prospects or lesser known stars from other leagues who fit the system Jurgen Klopp wants to implement at Liverpool, and go on from there. Right now, they might go for an attacking midfielder that could help the Reds a lot in the offense.

Daichi Kamada, a Japanese star currently playing for Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, has emerged as a name, according to 90min, that Liverpool and several other clubs are interested in.

Liverpool will be able to sign Kamada on a free transfer next season, if they go for him

Currently, Kamada’s contract with Frankfurt runs out in the summer, meaning the player either walks for free, or extends his stay in Germany. The way all these great clubs are interested in him, I don’t see him playing for Frankfurt beyond this season.

Kamada has scored 13 goals and provided five assists so far, and a move is likely. Does it make sense for Liverpool to go for him, though?

I mean, I don’t see why not, to be honest. It depends on where he can play and what system the team will adopt going forward, but he is indeed a player that can fit there. It also depends on what kind of players the club will sign, and whether the player can maintain his level of efficiency in a more profound role, because there is certainly no space for him in the attack.

That part, Liverpool will have to figure out, but speaking of talent alone, Kamada has it and he can make it work at Liverpool under the right circumstances.
