Liverpool will kick off the Premier League season the same way they wish to end it: as champions.

The Reds are involved in the opening game of the Premier League, as they host Bournemouth at Anfield Stadium tomorrow evening. At long last, the best league in the world is back, and it's the champions who look to get back to winning ways.

While Arne Slot's side had their confidence rocked at Wembley last weekend against Crystal Palace, this is a team that could fight back from rock bottom. Therefore, fan consensus says that only a win will be targeted tomorrow evening.

Looking ahead to the fixture, there's a high likelihood that four new Liverpool signings could make their Premier League debuts in this match.

4 potential Liverpool debuts against Bournemouth

1. Milos Kerkez

Well, it wouldn't be a "Premier League debut" so to speak, considering Kerkez has racked up an impressive 66 Premier League appearances already for Bournemouth. However, it would be his first Premier League outing in Liverpool red.

The Hungary international played most of the Community Shield before being hooked off. He didn't take part in the penalty shootout, but had some bright moments on and off the ball. He should start tomorrow evening.

2. Jeremie Frimpong

Off the other flank, it will be Jeremie Frimpong. Both full-backs are in line to make their Premier League debuts for Liverpool, in what should be a fairly full-strength lineup. It remains to be seen whether a new center back will be signed this summer, but either way, he won't start tomorrow.

Anyway, we digress. Frimpong WILL start, and we'll be saying that for most of the season.

The signing from Bayer Leverkusen is one of the most exciting defenders in the world, if you can even consider him a defender. Against Bournemouth, expect to see him in the final third more often than the defensive third.

3. Florian Wirtz

Huge things are expected of Florian Wirtz and no, it's not just because of his price tag. Of course, the price tag played a little into the expectation, but let's not forget he was the standout player in a team that went unbeaten in the Bundesliga (and wasn't Bayern Munich, no less).

Understandably, he was keen to embark on a new adventure after Bayer Leverkusen parted ways with Xabi Alonso and some of their best players this summer.

Writz is one of the best players in the world. The strongest characteristics possessed by Wirtz lend themselves helpfully to the Premier League. Hopefully, he'll take the league by storm, and it all starts against Bournemouth.

4. Hugo Ekitike

Hugo Ekitike scored goals for fun last season and he'll want to translate that form over to the Premier League.

He certainly got off to a great start in pre-season. The center forward bagged an impressive goal in the Community Shield, so he's setting himself up well for the Premier League.

Liverpool might still sign another striker before the summer is over, this seems necessary after the Darwin sale, but at least for now, Ekitike is expected to make his full Premier League debut tomorrow evening.
